Ann-Christin “Ankie” Bagger (born 30 September 1964) is a Swedish disco/pop musician and singer who first garnered attention in 1988 with her cover of Herreys’ “Varje liten droppe regn” as “People Say It’s in the Air“. She is one of the solo artists that benefited from the works of Swedish hit composer/producer trio Norell Oson Bard.
Ankie Bagger broke through in the 80’s with the songs “People say it’s in the air” and “Where were you last night”. Songwriters and producers were Ola Håkansson, Tim Norell, Alexander Bard and Anders Hansson. With the hits in the bag, there were many tours and several hits, such as “Bang Bang”, “I was made for loving you” and more. She has always been a sought-after artist, who tours extensively and has a Grammy nomination, gold record sales and high list placements on her merit list.
